LITTLE WARRIORS

Tues & Thurs 4:15 - 5:00 PM

Saturday 9:15 - 10:00 AM

DVMA has a special Martial Arts Class specifically for kids with special needs. Unlock your child’s full potential in a safe and fun environment, at a pace appropriate for each individual child. Classes will help to improve your child’s balance, strength, coordination, confidence, and self-control all while having fun and being around other kids who have similar abilities.


TINY WARRIORS

5- 7 yrs

Mon & Wed 5:15 - 6:00 PM

Tiny warriors is a class designed to allow your child to move and burn off some energy while having fun. Your child will begin to learn the basics of Karate in a safe and controlled environment. Classes will include activities to improve balance, coordination, strength, self-control, focus and confidence.


WARRIORS

8 - 12 yrs

Warriors class is designed to help your child learn the basics of karate while fostering a love of exercise and movement. Students in the class will also begin to learn self-defense skills and will explore use of Kali stick, Bo staff, and Nunchakus. Focus, self-discipline, respect, and responsibility are weaved into the expectations of every class.

Mon & Wed 6:00 - 7:00 PM ( Coed Teens & Adult Women)

Tues & Thurs 7:00 - 8:00 PM (Teen Girls & Adult Women)

DVMA realizes that women sometimes may feel more comfortable working in an environment specifically customized for them. The Tues/Thurs class provides an opportunity for teen girls and women to exercise and learn to defend themselves in a setting with other girls and women who have similar concerns and needs. The Mon/Wed class is open to adult women and coed teens to provide an open atmosphere for any teen to train. Training includes a combination of kickboxing, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Students in this class will work on general fitness, cardio, strength and flexibility while working on learning and advancing basic skills. Gun defense, Knife defense, and Kali Stick are integrated into the self-defense portion of this class.


BRAZILIAN JIU - JITSU

Mon & Wed 8:00 - 9:00 PM

Brazilian Jiu - Jitsu is a form of martial arts that focuses on ground fighting with an objective of gaining control of your opponent through leverage, technical holds and submissions. The BJJ class will incorporate strength and flexibility in addition to techniques and strategies used to gain control of and submit your opponent. Most altercations will go to the ground in approximately 30 seconds therefore BJJ is an important and useful form of self defense in the event of an attack. This class is designed to challenge your overall physical fitness and mental focus.

TEENS

13 & UP

Tues & Thurs 5:00 - 6:00 PM

Saturday 10:00 - 11:30 AM

The teens class is a great way to keep your teen active and engaged while working on general fitness including strength, cardio and flexibility. This class offers teens an opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment with peers who are experiencing similar pressures that occur during this stage. Kickboxing, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu components will be covered for all skill levels.


ADULTS

Mon & Wed 7:00 - 8:00 PM

Tues & Thurs 8:00 - 9:00 PM
